Modelled allocation of ≈25,500 MU of KSEBL annual sales (FY 2023-24) across districts, weighted by Census district population share and a commercial/industrial intensity factor (1.45 Ernakulam, 1.15 Palakkad, 0.8 Malappuram/Idukki/Wayanad, and so on). KSEBL reports sales by electrical circle and consumer category, not by revenue district. Treat the ordering as indicative and the absolute numbers as approximate to within roughly ±20 %.
Assumptions stated in full
- Outflow in the dam report is total release. Part of it may bypass the turbines, so it cannot be converted into generated energy.
- Installed capacity is a nameplate rating from commissioning records; several stations operate below rating due to machine availability or water allocation.
- A station is listed as releasing purely because today’s report shows outflow above zero — it is not confirmation that machines are running.
- Annual output figures are design/firm capability values or historical published totals. They are never interpolated to “today’s generation”.
- District consumption is modelled from state totals; no district-level meter data was used because none is published.
- No value on this page is interpolated between reports. If today’s report omits a dam, its cells show a dash.
